I started Thornwood Goods because I got tired of making things that looked like everything else. After years of working in design studios, I converted an old barn on the edge of Asheville and started over—making ceramics, leather goods, and serving boards the way I actually wanted to make them. No inventory sitting in warehouses. No rush orders. Just me, my hands, and materials I choose carefully. Every mug, every leather journal, every board gets made specifically for the person who orders it. That's why a customer can still reach for a mug I made six years ago like it was made yesterday—because it was made to be lived with, not just looked at. I ship nationwide, but I also invite people to visit the studio and see the process. There's something different about owning something you watched become real.
